entry no. 2 — the watering intervention
this week's theme, by popular demand (three people asked): water. when, how much, and why your schedule is the problem.
golden pothos: immortal (almost)
my most unpopular opinion: the best plant you can own costs six euros. nine out of ten, would buy again.
halve your winter watering
dark weeks = slow plants = low thirst. whatever your summer rhythm was, winter wants half of it. most 'winter plant deaths' are drownings.
“my pothos has one yellow leaf. is it dying??”
one yellow leaf is not a crisis — it's usually just an old leaf retiring. a TREND of yellow leaves (one a week, accelerating) means overwatering. one leaf: remove it, move on, don't change anything.
