Isn't this just affiliate marketing?
Mechanically, yes — a link, a code, a commission. The goal is different: we don't buy ads, we grow through people who already love this place. Every cutting that roots is a new neighbour on the board, not a line in a dashboard — the commission is how we split the harvest.
Do I need an account?
You get one. Applying creates your page on the journal — that's where the partner side lives: your link, your code, your clicks, your sales and your payouts, next to your library and your stamps. You only pick a password. If you'd rather not sign in at all, your numbers also sit behind a private link we mail you.
Do I need a big following?
No. We read every application ourselves and we care more about trust than reach — a group chat that asks you plant questions counts. Bots and coupon sites are the only hard no.
How do you know a sale came from me?
Your link sets one first-party cookie for 30 days, and your code works even without the link — whoever types it at checkout is yours. A typed code always wins.
Is my cut calculated on the full price?
Your 25% is calculated on the sale amount excluding VAT — tax isn't revenue, so no commission is paid over it. Shop prices include VAT for most countries (US buyers see sales tax added at checkout instead), and Stripe reports the tax per sale, so the base is exact every time.
When does a sale become money?
A commission turns final 14 days after the sale (the refund window). After that it sits in your balance until the monthly run; under €25 it simply rolls over.
Why the #ad rule?
Because it's the law, and because this whole site runs on honesty. A disclosed recommendation from someone people trust converts better anyway — we've watched it happen.
What if I want out?
Mail us, done. No notice period. Any approved balance above the threshold still gets paid on the next run, and your page stays yours — it's an account on the journal, not a contract.
