Recall + plans

Make it stick

Two quick things that do more for retention than re-reading ever will: turn the module into if-then plans, then pull the key facts back from memory.

Tie it to something you already do

Finish each line — an intention pinned to an existing habit is far more likely to happen than a vague resolution.

  • If it is winter and growth has stopped, then I will stop feeding until spring.
  • If I am about to feed, then I will dilute to about half the label rate rather than the full dose.
  • If a plant has brown, crispy leaf tips and a crust on the soil, then I will flush the pot with plain water before I feed again.
  • If a plant is struggling in poor light, then I will fix the light rather than reach for fertiliser.

Quick recall

Answer each from memory first — then flip.

  • Q1. When and at what strength should you feed most houseplants?

  • Q2. Does more fertiliser make a plant grow faster?

  • Q3. What are the signs of fertiliser salt build-up?

  • Q4. How do you flush salts out of a pot?

  • Q5. Should you feed a struggling plant in a dark room to help it recover?
